The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) held a retirement ceremony for Mrs. Margaret Boro, Director of NOUN's Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM-NOUN), on October 10, 2024, at its headquarters in Abuja. During the event, Boro encouraged young administrative officers to embrace resilience, strive for excellence, and remain dedicated to their careers.
Addressing the audience in her Valedictory Lecture, the retiring director emphasized that success in administration requires patience, perseverance, and the ability to navigate institutional challenges. She urged the young officers to approach every challenge as an opportunity for growth and to consistently perform their duties with diligence and commitment.
NOUN's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, represented by Prof. Sam Ayodele, and Registrar, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi, praised the retiring director for her leadership and contributions to the university. They commended her for instilling values of integrity and perseverance, which have left a lasting impact on the institution and its staff.
