In observance of the 2026 World Day of Social Justice, Dr. Vincent Paul, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship Studies at Nasarawa State University Keffi, has issued a clarion call for renewed global commitment to equality, dignity, and inclusive development.

Aligning with the 2026 global theme, “Renewed Commitment to Social Development and Social Justice,” Dr. Paul stressed that social justice is a practical necessity, not an abstract ideal. He urged leaders and citizens alike to dismantle systemic barriers that inhibit human potential and societal progress.

“Social justice is about building a society where every individual—whether mechanic, doctor, cleaner, or entrepreneur—has equal access to opportunities, resources, and respect for human dignity,” he said, framing equity as the cornerstone of a stable and thriving society.

Drawing from his expertise in Entrepreneurship Studies, Dr. Paul highlighted the inseparable link between economic opportunity and social equity, advocating for a world where entrepreneurial initiatives are accessible to all. He argued that true progress is measured not by the success of a privileged few but by the upliftment of society at large.

Known as the Permanent Ambassador of Kindness (PAK), Dr. Paul also emphasized a moral reawakening in social relations. He encouraged individuals and communities to reject discrimination, confront gender- and race-based barriers, and oppose hatred and unjust treatment of innocent members of society.
