NSUK and NIMET Strengthen Partnership for Sustainable Development
The Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their collaboration, aimed at advancing sustainable development and enhancing the provision of accurate weather data.

During a courtesy visit by NSUK's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, to NIMET's Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Charles Anosike, on July 23, 2024, both parties agreed to strengthen their existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on February 5, 2020.
The MOU has already yielded positive results, including the commissioning of a weather station and donation of weather equipment to NSUK, as well as training for a staff member from the Department of Geography.

Professor Anosike emphasized NIMET's commitment to fulfilling all obligations under the MOU, highlighting the agency's crucial role in providing accurate weather data to support informed decision-making for farmers and residents in Keffi and surrounding areas.
The visit concluded with an exchange of souvenirs between the two chief executives, solidifying their partnership and paving the way for future collaborations.
