NSUK Lecturer Advocates Strategic Entrepreneurship for Saka Multipurpose Township Hall Project

A lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship Studies at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Dr. Vincent Paul, has called for a collective and strategic entrepreneurial partnership toward the construction of a Multipurpose Township Hall for the Saka community in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Dr. Paul made the appeal on Saturday, 6th December 2025, while delivering a keynote address as guest speaker at the fundraising ceremony organised by the Eggon Youth Association, Saka Chapter. Speaking on the theme “Take and Remember, and Give to Be Remembered,” he emphasized the importance of community-driven development and the long-term value of giving.

In his remarks, the NSUK scholar stated that communities grow not only through physical structures but also through shared spaces that promote collaboration, leadership, and economic participation. He stressed that while blessings received become memories, meaningful contributions transform into lasting legacies.

According to him, the proposed Multipurpose Township Hall will serve as a “heartbeat of development” for the area, providing spaces for youth empowerment, entrepreneurship training, community meetings, cultural events, and conflict-resolution activities.

He identified key benefits of the project, including; Serving as a centre for youth skills development and empowerment. Functioning as a hub for innovation, small business support, and entrepreneurial clinics. Providing a venue for community gatherings, educational programmes, and cultural engagements, and, offering a safe, inclusive space for dialogue, social progress, and community strengthening.

Dr. Paul described the project as a necessity for sustainable growth, noting that thriving communities are built by people who think long-term and invest in structures that support learning and economic opportunities.

He called on community leaders, entrepreneurs, youths, families, and the diaspora to support the initiative, adding that every contribution large or small would help transform the vision into reality. He further explained that the approach is rooted in strategic entrepreneurship, which focuses on resource mobilization, sustainability, and creating economic opportunities linked to the facility.

“Every thriving community was built by people who planted trees knowing they might never sit under their shade,” he said. “Let this hall be our tree. Let this project be our legacy.”

The fundraising event brought together leaders and stakeholders from within and outside the community, all committed to supporting a project aimed at enhancing unity, economic growth, and social development.
