NSUK Makes History as Lincoln University Matriculates Over 500 Students
The milestone event marks the culmination of a long-standing partnership between NSUK and Lincoln University, Malaysia, with approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), became the first university in North Central Nigeria to offer a Transnational Educational Program, as over 500 pioneer students were matriculated into various programs at the Lincoln University, Malaysia, NSUK campus on Friday, September 13, 2024.
The milestone event marks the culmination of a long-standing partnership between NSUK and Lincoln University, Malaysia, with approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The matriculation ceremony, held at the university's Assembly Hall, was attended by prominent officials from both institutions. Representing Lincoln University, Malaysia, were its President, Professor Amiya Bhaumik; Pro Chancellor, Professor Batuk Bibi Florina Binti Abdullah; and CEO of Lincoln University, Nigeria, Dr. Murtadho Alao.
Leading the NSUK delegation was Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, along with key university officials including Registrar, Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II; University Bursar, Mallam Murtala Abubakar Kana; Director of Academic Planning, Professor Abdullahi Adamu Sulaiman; Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Professor M.S. Rabiu; and Head of the Department of Journalism, Dr. Santas Tsegyu.
Other notable figures from Lincoln University included Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Associate Professor Munir Kolapo Yahaya-Imam; Registrar, Mr. Mohammed Amer-Shah-Bin-Mazlan-Marugan; Dr. Regidor III; Dr. Abubakar Umar, NSUK Campus Registrar; and Director of Operations, Mr. Olusegun Suleiman Musa.
The ceremony reached its peak when Mr. Mohammed Amer-Shah-Bin-Mazlan-Marugan, Registrar of Lincoln University, Malaysia, administered the matriculation oath to the students.
