The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted Capital City University, Kano, a full operational licence, allowing it to continue its activities as a private university in Nigeria.

This significant achievement followed a recent visit by an NUC accreditation panel earlier in October, during which the commission assessed the institution's facilities and operational standards. Impressed by the university's commitment to quality education and infrastructure, the NUC upgraded its status from a provisional to a full licence.

In a statement issued by the university's registrar, Hajiya Rakiya Bello Dangado, the panel's positive feedback acknowledged the dedication of the governing council, management, and staff to maintaining high standards since the university commenced operations in 2021.
