NVMA Welcomes New Veterinary Graduates at UNN

The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) has welcomed new veterinary graduates at the 46th Oath Taking/Induction ceremony of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

The event was held on August 7, 2025, at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium.

Dr. Moses Arokoyo, NVMA President, congratulated the graduates on their achievement and reassured them of the association's support and mentorship. He emphasized the importance of good behavior and decorum in the veterinary field, highlighting that character can open doors alongside academic excellence.

The best-behaved graduand received automatic employment and a personal cash award of ₦50,000 from the President, in addition to an initial ₦250,000 awarded to distinguished graduating students. Emeritus Professors J.O. Okoye and S.M. Anika, veterans of UNN, were honored with Awards of Honor for their contributions to the field.
