NYSC Ogun State Hosts "Big, Bold, and Beautiful" Pageant for Plus-Size Corps Members

The NYSC Ogun State Orientation Camp recently held a pageant named "Big, Bold, and Beautiful" exclusively for plus-size female Corps Members of the 2024 Batch B Stream 2. Sponsored by FCMB, the event aimed to boost confidence and celebrate body positivity.

The NYSC Ogun State Orientation Camp recently celebrated diversity and self-confidence with the "Big, Bold, and Beautiful" pageant, dedicated to plus-size female Corps Members of the 2024 Batch B Stream 2 Orientation Course.Sponsored by FCMB, the event was held at the camp's Multipurpose Hall and aimed to empower participants by highlighting their beauty, confidence, and poise. The pageant featured three rounds where contestants showcased their style in Physical Training attire, traditional wear, and full NYSC ceremonial dress.

A panel of judges evaluated the participants based on their costumes, catwalk, confidence, composure, and audience engagement. Adebowale Ibidemi (OG/24B/4252) of Platoon 2 won first place, earning a 32-inch plasma TV. Chioma Cynthia Ummwa (LA/24B/8425) of Platoon 8 and Ekpo Glory (LA/24B/10050) secured second and third places, respectively, winning a standing fan and an electric cooker. Consolation prizes were also awarded to other contestants.

The pageant underscored body positivity, resilience, and self-confidence, embodying the core values of the NYSC experience. The Camp Director, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Otaru, attended on behalf of the State Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Diana Nasamu, along with other principal camp officials, showing their support for the event.
