OAU Celebrates Debating Triumph at YIAGA Inter-University Competition
The students' union of Obafemi Awolowo University rejoices over being the First Runner-Up of the YIAGA debating competition.

The Great Ife Students' Union (GREATIFESU) of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, is jubilant following the outstanding performance of two of its debaters, Ifeoluwa Odeyemi and Ajake Isreal, who emerged as the First Runner-Up at the "My Nigeria - Our Nigeria" debate.
The event, organized by YIAGA Africa in partnership with the Open Society Foundation and the All Nigerian Universities Debate Championship, took place in Abuja on Monday, August 19th, 2024.
The achievement not only reflects the intellectual prowess of Great Ife students but also reflects a significant milestone for the entire university community. Ifeoluwa Odeyemi and Ajake Isreal demonstrated exceptional eloquence, critical thinking, and persuasive skills, earning them accolades and recognition.
