NMCN Releases March 2025 Midwifery Exam Results, 10,948 Candidates Pass
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has released the results of the March 2025 Professional Examination in Midwifery, with 10,948 candidates passing, representing an 85% overall success rate.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) has officially released the results of the Professional Examination in Midwifery for March 2025. The announcement follows the approval by the Coordinating Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
According to the results summary, a total of 10,948 candidates passed the examination, representing an impressive 85% overall pass rate. The breakdown of the results is as follows:

Post Basic Midwifery: 4,250 candidates passed, reflecting a 95% success rate.

Basic Midwifery: 5,432 candidates passed, achieving a 78% success rate.

Basic Midwifery (Refresher): 13 candidates passed, with a 72% success rate.

Community Midwifery: 1,253 candidates passed, marking an 84% success rate.
In a directive to training institutions, NMCN stated that heads of nursing training institutions should check their institution’s results online starting Monday, March 17, 2025.
Successful candidates are required to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria’s official portal (portal.nmen.gov.ng) to apply for registration and licensing. The online registration, including payment of registration fees, must be completed within 90 days. A late registration penalty fee of N16,250 per applicant will apply after the deadline. Additionally, an annual penalty of N6,562 will be charged for failure to obtain the first license on time.
The Acting Registrar/CEO of NMCN, Ndagi Alhassan, signed the official release, emphasizing the importance of timely registration to avoid extra charges.
