During a press briefing held at Al-Hikmah University, leading academics and peace scholars called on Nigerians to promote forgiveness and dialogue as solutions to the nation’s challenges. The event, part of the university's commemoration of the 2024 International Peace Day, featured Dr. Abdulazeez Adekola, acting director of CPSS, who highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.

Dr. Adekola announced ongoing discussions between the university and the Nigeria Police Force aimed at enhancing peace initiatives throughout the country. He urged government bodies at all levels to prioritize good governance and address citizens' basic needs, emphasizing that “government should prioritize good governance where peace could be realized.”
