Police Arraign Three Iseyin College Students for Allegedly Killing 16-Year-Old Colleague

Three students from Iseyin College of Health Science and Technology have been remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan, following their arraignment on charges of conspiracy and murder.

On September 17, 2024, the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan remanded three students from Iseyin College of Health Science and Technology for their alleged involvement in the death of a 16-year-old student.

The students, Shodimu Halima (18), Agbedun Zainab (23), and Olaleye Oladunni (23), face charges of conspiracy and murder. Magistrate M. Mudashiru did not take their pleas due to lack of jurisdiction, ordering their remand at the Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan. The court adjourned the case until December 30 for mention, pending legal advice from the directorate of public prosecution.

According to the prosecution led by Insp. Femi Oluwadare, the defendants allegedly conspired with others to assault Eniola Ismail on July 29 at approximately 4:00 p.m. in Iseyin, Oyo. The deceased reportedly complained of body pains after the altercation and died later. The charges against the students are based on Sections 316, 319, and 324 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
