The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of The Polytechnic Ibadan has announced that the institution’s earlier “No School Fees, No Examination” policy will not be enforced during the first week of the 2025/2026 First Semester examinations.
The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of The Polytechnic Ibadan has announced that the institution’s earlier “No School Fees, No Examination” policy will not be enforced during the first week of the 2025/2026 First Semester examinations.
The decision follows a series of engagements and appeals by the union to the institution’s management, which has now approved a temporary extension for tuition payment. As a result, students who are yet to complete their fee payments will be permitted to sit for examinations within the first week.
The directive instructs all Heads of Departments (HODs) to comply fully by allowing affected students to participate in examinations during the approved window. HODs have also been encouraged to release students’ previous examination results to enable them assess their academic standing and take corrective measures where necessary.

The union commended the management for its understanding and urged students to utilize the grace period responsibly by regularizing their outstanding payments.
In a related update, students whose identity cards are ready have been advised to proceed to the Assembly Hall for collection.
The development provides temporary relief for students facing financial constraints while reinforcing the expectation of compliance within the extended timeframe.
