Concerned by the rising involvement of youths in fraudulent activities nationwide, the Board announced a comprehensive strategy during its recent meeting.

In a statement released by the Polytechnic's Public Relations Officer, Alade Adesesan, it was disclosed that Chief Oludaisi Aina, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, emphasized the launch of 'Operation no Yahoo'. This initiative is designed to prevent students from engaging in illicit online activities through innovative approaches.
"We are committed to tackling internet fraud through proactive measures. The 'Operation no Yahoo' initiative will not only discourage such behaviors but also provide opportunities for our students to develop their talents in constructive ways," stated Chief Oludaisi Aina.
As part of the initiative, the Polytechnic plans to establish a hub that will serve as a platform for nurturing and supporting students' skills in collaboration with the local fintech industry. This project, codenamed "Operation No Yahoo", aims to empower the youth of Iresi Polytechnic and the surrounding community by equipping them with viable alternatives to criminal activities.

Furthermore, the institution pledges to intensify monitoring efforts among students and implement enlightenment programs. Collaboration with law enforcement agencies is also highlighted as a crucial component to ensure a crime-free campus environment.
