Polytechnic Students Launch Leadership Programme to Combat Climate Change

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has announced the commencement of a leadership programme aimed at addressing climate change and promoting environmental stewardship. This initiative reflects the organization's commitment to empowering young Nigerians with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle pressing environmental challenges.

According to a statement released by Ahmed Ajewole, the Vice President of NAPS, the programme will focus on fostering environmental conservation, promoting renewable energy, and fostering sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. Through this initiative, polytechnic students will be equipped with the tools and resources needed to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change and contribute to sustainable development.

Scheduled to take place at Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade, Ogun State, the programme is expected to attract key political leaders, economic stakeholders, and public office holders. Ajewole emphasized the critical role of youths in shaping Nigeria's future and underscored the importance of prioritizing sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
