FUOYE Charts Future Growth with Strategic Framework Workshop
The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has initiated its 2025-2050 strategic framework through a one-day workshop in collaboration with REC Consulting Limited.

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has taken a significant step toward shaping its future with the successful organization of a one-day workshop focused on the development of its 2025-2050 strategic framework. The event, held at the Fasina Conference Center (FCC) on the Phase III Main Campus, was in collaboration with REC Consulting Limited and brought together key stakeholders, academics, and industry experts to craft a visionary roadmap for the institution’s transformation.
Under the theme “Transforming FUOYE for the Future: Building a Sustainable, Innovative, and Secure Institution,” the workshop aimed to position FUOYE as a leading academic and research hub in Nigeria and beyond. Chaired by Prof. Dipo Aina, FAS, FSSSN, with Prof. Ibiyinka Ogunlade serving as the Team Coordinator, the event featured insightful discussions on institutional sustainability, governance, and innovation.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Woleola Ekundayo, a renowned university administrator, on “The Role of Strategic Planning in Building the University of the Future.” Dr. Ekundayo highlighted the necessity of forward-thinking strategies in addressing emerging challenges in higher education and ensuring FUOYE’s long-term sustainability.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Joseph Ekiran expressed appreciation to all participants and reaffirmed FUOYE’s commitment to implementing the outcomes of the workshop. He emphasized that the strategic plan would serve as a guiding blueprint for achieving the university’s vision of becoming a world-class institution by 2050.
