Prof. Gwarzo MAAUN Founder congratulates Tahir Mamman on appointment as Minister of Education

The Founder and Chairman, Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated Prof. Tahir Mamman on his appointment as Minister of Education by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu monitored by myschoolnews.

Until his new appointment, Prof. Mamman was the Vice Chancellor of Baze University, Abuja.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday.

Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the Founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger-Maradi, Franco-British University, Kaduna and Canadian University of Nigeria, Abuja, said the appointment of Prof. Mamman was well- deserved in view of his wealth of experience.

He said as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a recipient of the National Honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), as well as his track records of service, he had no doubt that Prof. Mamman would deliver on his mandate.

He also expressed confidence that the new Education Minister who served as the Director General of the Nigerian Law School from 2005-2013, would not only rejuvenate the sector, but would also bring about the needed transformation and development in the sector.

“With your skills and experience, I know you have worked hard to reach this point, and I am so happy that President Tinubu has recognized your accomplishment with this new assignment, which is well-deserved.

“I have no inkling of doubt that the dedication and ability that got you here will continue to serve you well as you move along your path, ” Prof Gwarzo said in the statement.

He prayed to almighty Allah to guide and give the new Minister the wisdom to steer the ministry to greater heights.

The newly-appointed Minister holds the traditional titles of Dan Ruwatan Adamawa Emirate and Dokajin Mubi of Adamawa State.
