PTML Donates Blocks Of Classrooms, Others To Lagos School
Port Terminal Multipurpose Limited (PTML) in fulfilment of corporate social responsibility projects have donated newly constructed block of classrooms and 1,000 pieces of furniture to Amuwo Odofin Junior High School, located in Mile 2, Lagos.
A transport company, Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited, has donated a block of classrooms and other Corporate Social Responsibility projects to Amuwo-Odofin Junior High School, Mile 2, Lagos.
Port Terminal Multipurpose Limited (PTML) in fulfilment of corporate social responsibility projects have donated newly constructed block of classrooms and 1,000 pieces of furniture to Amuwo Odofin Junior High School, located in Mile 2, Lagos.
The formal handover took place on Tuesday, with PTML’s Managing Director, Ascanio Russo, presenting the building to Commissioner Alli-Balogun, representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Alli-Balogun urged other private entities to engage in partnerships with the government across various domains, including health and education. He also advised the school’s principal and staff to treat the new facilities with care and preserve their condition.
He further highlighted several contributions made by PTML to local government schools in Mile 2, including the construction of a 502-meter-long and 7-meter-wide paved access road within the school complex in 2021, the establishment of a standard drainage system, refurbishment of classroom blocks, repair of damaged roofs, provision of computers and printers to all six schools in the Mile 2 area, and the installation of a new 50 KVA transformer in 2022 to supply electricity to Amuwo Odofin Senior and Junior Schools, among other initiatives.

PTML’s Managing Director, Ascanio Russo, expressed the company’s profound dedication to social responsibility, with a special emphasis on educational and environmental initiatives. “This is a testament to our commitment to positively influencing both the community and the environment,” he stated. Russo also praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his instrumental support in bringing the project to fruition.
Commissioner Alli-Balogun representing the Governor lauded PTML for its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), noting the joy and positive impact it has brought to both the students and the surrounding community. “Education thrives on collective action. We’ve witnessed the transformation of a school into a contemporary educational institution,” Alli remarked.
