The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, has cautioned newly admitted undergraduates against engaging in social vices such as cultism and examination malpractices. Speaking at the 42nd matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session, Prof. Okogbule emphasized the university's zero-tolerance policy towards anti-social activities and behaviors.
A total of 9,035 candidates were formally admitted, with the Vice Chancellor providing a breakdown of new students across various faculties. Prof. Okogbule highlighted the importance of hard work and unwavering focus on academic assignments for success in the university environment.

Such students will receive financial support and preferential treatment for employment opportunities upon graduation.
