The Vice Chancellor of Sokoto State University, Prof. Garba Bashir, has urged newly admitted students to uphold excellence and integrity as they embark on their academic journey. Speaking during the administration of oath to 3,195 new students for the 2023/2024 academic year, Prof. Bashir emphasized the importance of being good ambassadors of their families and the university.

He admonished the students to refrain from engaging in cultism and examination misconduct, which could jeopardize their academic pursuits. Prof. Bashir urged the students to dedicate themselves to their studies, ensuring that they do not disappoint their parents, families, state, and country.
