Salem University Warns Candidates Against Submitting Fake Results During Screening

The Vice-Chancellor of Salem University in Lokoja, Alewo Johnson-Akubo, has issued a stern warning to prospective students against presenting fake results during the 2024/2025 academic session screening exercise, which commenced on August 12.
Johnson-Akubo emphasized that the university is focused on admitting candidates who demonstrate brilliance and competency, aligning with its mission to produce global leaders and change agents. "As a remarkable institution, we are targeting brilliance in the screening of candidates for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate programmes," he stated.
He further stressed that there would be no room for compromise in the admission process across the university’s six colleges, which include the College of Law, College of Humanities, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, College of Education, College of Information and Communication Technology, and College of Management and Social Sciences, as well as the College of Graduate Studies and the Pre-Varsity School.
The Vice-Chancellor also announced that seven new programs, including Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, are awaiting verification by the National Universities Commission (NUC). He assured that all academic programs are fully accredited and designed to meet industry standards, enhancing job placement opportunities for graduates.
