Born on December 24th, 1995, in Olido Enugu-Ezike, Enugu State, Samson faced early challenges, leaving home at five to live with his disabled aunt until completing JSS3. During this time, he encountered a childhood friend, Chijioke Fidelis, who became his mentor and academic coach.
In a remarkable story of resilience and determination, Samson Chibuzo Ugwu has graduated as the best-graduating student in his department at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike. Despite facing financial challenges, Samson overcame odds, celebrating his journey from a palm tree climber to academic excellence.

Attending a community primary school where pupils paid fees in crafts, Samson learned the skill of climbing small palm trees and cutting fronds, earning payments in brooms. His palm tree climbing journey began, evolving into climbing taller trees and cutting palm fruit for a small fee.
Financial challenges persisted, but Samson's determination led him to make money from climbing palm trees. Despite the risks and dangers, he excelled, becoming the village women's favorite for his professional touch in cutting palm fruit/fronds.
His academic journey continued, and he graduated as the best science student in his secondary school. Embracing palm tree climbing as a profession, Samson worked tirelessly, eventually saving enough money to write UTME.

Admitted to study Forestry and Environmental Management at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Samson balanced his studies with palm tree climbing during breaks. Despite financial support from his parents, he continued his palm tree climbing business to meet expenses.
Samson's determination and hard work paid off as he graduated with a first-class degree, emerging as the best-graduating student in both his department and college. During his undergraduate days, he used the money earned from palm tree climbing to start a modern beekeeping business, BeeSaved Honey Enterprise.
Currently serving his fatherland in Benue State, Samson aspires to further his studies and secure his dream job of lecturing after completing his national youth service year. He seeks scholarship opportunities and support, aiming to leave behind palm tree climbing for good.
