SSANU South East Zone Pays Courtesy Visit to ESUT Management

The management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) hosted a high-level delegation from the South East Zone of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026.

Led by the National Vice President, Comr. Engr. Okechukwu Animba, the visit served as a formal introduction before the delegation proceeded to supervise the branch’s by-elections. The elections were conducted to fill critical executive positions, including Treasurer, Trustee, and Ex-Officio.

The SSANU team was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius Michaels N. Okolie, along with principal officers of the university. The meeting highlighted the collaborative relationship between the university administration and the union, ensuring a transparent and peaceful electoral process for the staff body.

Speaking during the visit, the Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering a harmonious working environment and supporting democratic processes within staff unions to ensure stability and progress within the institution.
