SUG Forum Borno State Chapter Visits NUBOSS National Headquarters

The Student Union Governments (SUGs) Forum, comprising representatives from various institutions in Borno State, paid a familiarization visit to the National Union of Borno State Students (NUBOSS) Headquarters Secretariat.

Led by Chairman and SUG President of Ramat Polytechnic, Comr. Sadiq Malumta Benisheikh, and Secretary-General and SUG President of BOSU, Comr. Babakura Babakaka, the delegation included SUGs Forum members and institution presidents.

NUBOSS National President, Cader Ahmad Kyari Ahmad, warmly received the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit. The Secretary of the Forum, Comr. Babakura Babakaka, raised several issues, which were addressed by the President:

- Communication: Improved communication channels will be established to enhance collaboration and information sharing.

- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): An MOU between NUBOSS and SUGs will be finalized, outlining terms of collaboration and united advocacy for student welfare.

- Provision of foodstuffs for students in hostels, especially during Ramadan: NUBOSS has already provided support to some institutions and will continue to do so.

- Relationship between NUBOSS and SUG in local chapters: The President assured resolution of any issues through dialogue, emphasizing unity and cooperation.

The President also announced efforts to secure a Special Adviser on Student Matters at the Borno State Government, addressing student welfare and wellbeing. The meeting concluded with a commitment to continued collaboration and support.
