Survivor of Sandy Hook Shooting Earns Full Scholarship to Study Law at University of Connecticut
Expressing his excitement and gratitude, Isaiah shared his plans to attend the University of Connecticut and enroll in their specialized law program. Isaiah Marquez-Greene, an 18-year-old survivor of the tragic Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in 2012, has been awarded a full scholarship to pursue a law degree at the University of Connecticut in the United States.
Isaiah, who lost his younger sister during the shooting, has been dedicated to preserving her memory and building a legacy in her honor ever since. His perseverance and resilience were recently recognized when star hockey player James Trouba surprised him with the scholarship after a New York Rangers game.

During the event, Trouba, who Isaiah considers a mentor, presented him not only with a signed jersey but also with a full scholarship from the Garden of Dreams Foundation. This foundation partners with organizations to provide educational opportunities and mentoring programs for youth in Connecticut.
