TAENPROWIZ Fish Production Team Visits COOU as Vice-Chancellor Reaffirms Commitment to Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture
On Tuesday, 28th October 2025, the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, received a delegation from the Taenprowiz Fish Production Business System and Technology team during a courtesy visit to the University Management in her conference room.

The team, led by coordinator Mr. Emeka Iloghalu, was in the University to launch, induct, and train 200 youths in Anambra State on Table Fish Production Business Systems.
Mr. Iloghalu explained that Taenprowiz aims to address challenges in fish production through innovative methods and practical training, equipping young people with the skills to achieve self-reliance in aquaculture.
Professor Uzoka, Director of Entrepreneurship at COOU, commended the partnership, noting ongoing discussions with the ECOWAS team on fish production. He highlighted the benefits COOU students have derived from Mr. Iloghalu’s expertise as a consultant to the School of Entrepreneurship and described him as a visionary whose efforts have earned the Governor’s trust in overseeing fish production in Anambra State.

In her remarks, Professor Omenugha expressed appreciation to the Taenprowiz team and the ECOWAS Commission for their contributions toward agriculture and food security. She reaffirmed COOU’s commitment to achieving Zero Hunger and No Poverty in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. She cited the University’s Healthy Living Farm as a demonstration of this commitment, promoting organic farming and sustainability while serving as a practical training ground for students, particularly those in the Faculty of Agriculture.
The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that COOU’s core values—Value, Viability, and Visibility—align with the objectives of sustainable food production. She expressed optimism that ongoing and future partnerships will further strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and food security, noting that staff and students remain the primary beneficiaries of these initiatives.
