In a remarkable display of compassion and dedication, the Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University, Jalingo, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, extended a warm welcome to students who had been in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS) since October 11, 2023.

These students had faced various legal issues beyond the boundaries of the university campus, leading to their arrest and detainment by DSS operatives. Upon their release, they found solace and support in the arms of their university's leader.
