TASFUED Alumni Association Pledges Stronger Support for University Growth
The Worldwide Executive Council of the Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED) Alumni Association has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the institution's growth and development, pledging stronger collaboration with the university management in infrastructure development, student support, mentorship, scholarships, and resource mobilisation.

The commitment was made during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo, to congratulate him on his appointment as the sixth substantive Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Leading the delegation, the Worldwide President of the Alumni Association, Mr. Oladeji Bolaji Julius, described Professor Oladipo's appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to advancing higher education. He expressed confidence in the Vice-Chancellor's ability to provide purposeful leadership that would further strengthen the university.
Mr. Oladeji reiterated the association's readiness to partner with the university management in achieving its vision of positioning TASFUED as a globally respected university of education. He said the association would continue contributing to the institution through infrastructural development, mentorship programmes, scholarships, advocacy, professional networking, career support for students, and resource mobilisation.
He also stressed that every alumnus has a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the continuous growth and reputation of the university, noting that a united and vibrant alumni body remains a critical partner in institutional development.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor described the Alumni Association as one of the university's most valuable stakeholders, stating that the future of every great university depends on strong partnerships, particularly with its alumni.
"The future of every great university is built on the strength of its partnerships. At TASFUED, we remain committed to working hand in hand with our alumni, whose achievements and contributions continue to inspire excellence and shape the future of our institution," Professor Oladipo said.
He noted that a vibrant alumni association preserves the university's heritage while serving as ambassadors, mentors, development partners, philanthropists, and advocates whose expertise and resources contribute significantly to institutional growth and global visibility.
Professor Oladipo commended the association for its contributions to the university's development over the years, including the construction and renovation of hostels, lecture halls, and other essential facilities. He particularly praised the ongoing construction of the Alumni Postgraduate Hostel, describing it as another demonstration of the association's commitment to the advancement of TASFUED.
The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that plans were underway to establish a Directorate of Advancement that would bring together the Alumni Association, the TASFUED Foundation, and other development partners under a coordinated platform to strengthen collaboration, mobilise resources, and enhance the university's national and international profile.
He expressed appreciation to the Worldwide President, members of the National Executive Council, and the entire Alumni Association for their continued support, reaffirming his administration's commitment to strengthening relationships with alumni in pursuit of academic excellence, sustainable development, and institutional transformation.
Professor Oladipo added that sustained collaboration with alumni and other stakeholders would enable TASFUED to preserve its proud heritage while consolidating its position among the leading universities of education in Africa and beyond.

Other members of the delegation included the Immediate Past President, Dr. Oyekanmi Abdullahi Abiodun; National Secretary, Mr. Oladele Olufemi; Vice-President, Dr. Bello Adesina; and other members of the National Executive Council.
