Thomas Adewumi University Hosts 4th Matriculation Ceremony
Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) held its 4th Matriculation Ceremony at the East Campus Auditorium, welcoming new students and showcasing the university's achievements.
Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) celebrated its 4th Matriculation Ceremony last Saturday at the University's East Campus Auditorium. The event attracted academic luminaries, dignitaries, and new students eager to begin their educational journey.
The ceremony was attended by the University's founder and Chancellor, Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi, Co-founder Dr. Mrs. Gloria Adewumi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Francisca Oladipo, Pro-Chancellor Prof. Victor Olanrewaju, and His Royal Highness the Oloko of Oko Irese, Oba Victor Olawuyi, along with his wife. JAMB officials, led by Director Mallam Habib Usman Maiyak, University management, deans, staff members, and the new students were also present.
Prof. Francisca Oladipo welcomed attendees and highlighted the University's growth and achievements. She congratulated the new students and officially opened the matriculation event. The Registrar, Mr. Kolawole Fisoye, administered the Matriculation Oath, and deans from various faculties presented their students for enrollment.
The keynote address, delivered by Prof. Oluwatosin Atobatele, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Bowen University, focused on "In Pursuit of Character and Learning: Expectations and Responsibilities." He urged students to excel in both character and academics.

Pro-Chancellor Prof. Victor Olanrewaju and Chancellor Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi offered goodwill messages, emphasizing the importance of the matriculation oath and the opportunities at TAU. Dr. Mrs. Gloria Adewumi thanked Prof. Atobatele for his insightful address.
A notable highlight was the launch of TAU's maiden Newspaper, the TAU Echo, by the SRC President, Comrade Adebola Agboola, and other dignitaries, marking a significant milestone in the University's history.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Registrar Mr. Kolawole Fisoye, and the Vice-Chancellor declared the event closed.
