The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria has inducted over 500 graduates of the Faculty of Education at Ekiti State University into the teaching profession, marking a significant milestone in the certification of new educators.

The induction ceremony, held on March 14, 2026, featured the administration of the oath of allegiance to the inductees on behalf of the TRCN Registrar, Ronke Soyombo, represented by Mr. Ighalo. The council urged the new teachers to uphold professional ethics, discipline, and integrity in their practice.

In his welcome address, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, T. K. Akinwamide, congratulated the inductees, describing their training as rigorous and equipping them to stand out across various sectors. He encouraged them to demonstrate diligence, strong moral character, and leadership in their careers.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Babatola Ayodele, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), W. O. Adebayo, charged the graduates to remain committed to strengthening Nigeria’s education system. He emphasized the critical role of teachers in national development, urging them to take pride in the profession.
