In his developmental stride at the Taraba State University, Jalingo the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, and his management team, unveiled two key infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing both academic and administrative activities. The inauguration ceremony marked the official opening of a multipurpose hall for Micro Teaching and digital technology usage within the Faculty of Education, as well as the introduction of twelve fully furnished classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art instructional facilities within the Faculty of Agriculture.
The twelve classrooms, conceived initially to address spatial constraints within the Faculty of Agriculture, have been designated for general use, welcoming all faculties to utilize the space as needed. During the commissioning, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako reiterated the institution's commitment to maintaining these facilities for the benefit of the Faculty of Agriculture and its staff members.
The Seminar Board Room/Micro Teaching Lab within the Faculty of Education which was named in honour of the VC stands as a pointer to the university's dedication to modernizing educational infrastructure in Taraba State. The boardroom boasts a capacity of 150 individuals and features cutting-edge amenities such as internet access, dual conference monitors, indoor wireless speakers, micro-teaching facilities, wireless video transmission capacity, video conference facilities, a podium, and is supported by a standby SP 20 Mikano Generator.
These new facilities signify a significant step forward in the university's ongoing efforts to enhance learning environments and support academic excellence across various disciplines to align with the vision of His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas, the governor of Taraba State.
