The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), FCT Chapter, has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for assistance in tackling the growing concern of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

Dr. Emmanuel Shuaibu, the Director of Quality Assurance for UBEC’s FCT Chapter, emphasized the need for a collaborative effort during a visit to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja. He highlighted UBEC's initiative, the "Head to Head" debate programme, aimed at instilling moral values in secondary school students.

Addressing officials at the EFCC, Dr. Shuaibu stressed the pervasive influence of corruption in society, noting its detrimental impact on education. He asserted that combating corruption should begin at the grassroots level, particularly in basic education institutions encompassing primary schools, early child care, and junior secondary schools.
