UDUS Honors Hisbah Bosss Sheikh Aminu Daurawa With Honorary Doctorate Degree

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), has conferred an honorary doctorate degree on Sheikh Muhammad Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, in recognition of his contributions to religious scholarship and national development. 

The award was presented during UDUS's 50th anniversary and 42nd convocation ceremony, which celebrated the graduation of over 4,000 students.

Sheikh Daurawa, known for his commitment to promoting peace and understanding within Nigeria's diverse communities, expressed gratitude for the recognition. The Vice Chancellor of UDUS, Prof. Bashiru Garba, highlighted Sheikh Daurawa's significant contributions to religious scholarship and national development as reasons for the recognition. 

The event also saw the awarding of degrees and diplomas to over 4,000 graduates, including 120 PhDs and 323 Master's degrees.
