UDUS: Professor of Philosophy of Education to Deliver 45th Inaugural Lecture

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) is set to host its 45th inaugural lecture on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 4:30 PM in the university's auditorium. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Bagudo, a distinguished Professor of Philosophy of Education from the Department of Education Foundations, Faculty of Education and Extension Services (FEES).

 

The title of Professor Bagudo's lecture is "Teaching, Teachers, Teaching Profession, and Educational Accountability in Nigeria." This lecture will address crucial aspects of the education system in Nigeria, focusing on the roles and responsibilities of teachers, the teaching profession, and the importance of accountability in education.

Professor Bagudo, a Fellow of the Philosophy of Education Association of Nigeria (FPEAN), has an impressive academic background. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed) degrees from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto. He furthered his education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Ibadan.
