The Federal College of Education, Zaria, has announced the appointment of key personnel to vital positions within the institution. The Provost, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe, has approved the appointments, which take effect from late May 2024.

Dr. Rabi Bara'u, a distinguished member of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the School of General Education, has been named the Chairperson of the TETFund Research Committee. Dr. Bara'u's tenure began on May 28, 2024. She brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as the Desk Officer for the Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) at FCE Zaria. Her leadership is expected to drive forward the college's research initiatives and foster a culture of academic excellence.

Joining Dr. Bara'u in a notable new role is Mal. Abdullahi Abdulkadir from the Chemistry Department, School of Sciences. Effective May 27, 2024, Mal. Abdulkadir has been appointed as the Desk Officer for TRCN for a two-year term. Prior to this, he diligently served as the Assistant Desk Officer of the TRCN, FCE Zaria. His promotion is as a result of his dedication and the trust placed in him to enhance teacher registration processes and standards at the college.
