UDUS Student Union Condemns Management's Silence on EFCC's Alleged Unlawful Raid

The Students' Union Caretaker Committee of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), led by Abdullahi Sanusi, has criticized the university management for remaining silent after the recent raid by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which led to the arrest of over 40 students from private hostels on September 28, 2024.

The EFCC's late-night operation, which allegedly included the arrest of a campus journalist, has drawn sharp criticism from the student union. In a press release, the union denounced the raid as "unprofessional and unlawful," stating that the students were arrested without justifiable cause.
