The coordinator of the Chapel’s Host Families Project, Dr Aderonke Ajav, who is also the Director of the University Health Service, explained the initiative to the students.
According to her, the project started close to 20 years ago to link fresh students with families to support and mentor them while in pursuit of their academic goals.
She noted that participation in the project is voluntary but it has been of immense benefit to students in the past, explaining that it is a formal and structured arrangement to connect students to families for mentorship, support and guidance.
