UI DVC Charges Students to Uphold University Values

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, of the University of Ibadan, Professor Peter O. Olapegba, has urged students and alumni to be worthy ambassadors of the university by upholding the culture of discipline, excellence, and integrity. He emphasized that the behavior and achievements of students directly influence the institution's reputation.

The charge was given during a courtesy visit by Professor Efren Delgado of New Mexico State University, who expressed interest in establishing a collaboration with the University of Ibadan. The visit was inspired by the exemplary conduct of a UI PhD student, Mr. Muhammad Oluwakemi, who recently concluded a research expedition at New Mexico State University.

The DVC welcomed the potential collaboration, emphasizing the university's readiness to engage in meaningful knowledge and experience of UI students abroad can create positive impressions and facilitate partnerships.
