UI Partners with Infinix to Inaugurate ICT Centre, Empowering Students and Community
Infinix Nigeria has launched a state-of-the-art Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre at the University of Ibadan (UI), aiming to empower students and enhance their global competitiveness.

In a significant stride towards enhancing educational opportunities and technological advancement, Infinix Nigeria has inaugurated a cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre at the University of Ibadan (UI), Oyo state. The commissioning ceremony, held on Thursday at the university campus, underscores Infinix’s commitment to fostering innovation and empowering students for global competitiveness.

Doris Zhao, Marketing Manager of Infinix Nigeria, highlighted the ICT centre's inauguration as a pivotal moment in their collaboration with UI. Zhao expressed optimism about the transformative impact of the centre, stating, "This marks the beginning of a journey filled with endless possibilities. Together, we will continue to push boundaries, break new grounds, and create a brighter future for all."
The establishment of the ICT centre follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed two years ago between Infinix and UI to establish the Infinix Social Club, aimed at promoting student engagement in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Zhao emphasized Infinix's broader contribution to Nigeria's socio-economic landscape, emphasizing their dedication to equipping students with skills essential for thriving in today's global economy.

Prof. Kayode Adebowale, Vice Chancellor of UI, commended Infinix for choosing the university as a partner in their educational empowerment initiatives.
