The University of Abuja (UofA) has officially commenced construction of three key projects aimed at expanding its academic infrastructure. The university’s management, led by Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, laid the foundation stones for the construction of the Deanery for the Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at the University Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada, and the Phase 1 building of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies on the main campus. Additionally, a foundation was laid for the Academic Processing Centre building on the main campus.

The Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Communication buildings are financed through the 2023/2024 Annual Intervention fund from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), while the Academic Processing Centre is supported by TETFund’s Zonal intervention. Director of the UofA Physical Development Department, Mr. Ezekiel Ripiye, expressed gratitude to TETFund for their support and applauded the university’s management for the timely release of funds.
