UNIBEN Clarifies Hostel Donations by Daisy Danjuma

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) management announced on Friday that the female hostel donated to the institution on Tuesday was a contribution from Daisy Danjuma (née Ehanire).

In a press statement, UNIBEN Public Relations Officer Benedicta Ehanire emphasized the need to clarify the facts surrounding the donations. The statement highlighted that while the first hostel was donated by General Theophilus Danjuma, the second and third hostels, including the one recently commissioned and another under construction, were generously donated by Senator Daisy Ehanire-Danjuma.

Senator Danjuma’s commitment to girl-child education and development was cited as the motivation behind her donations. The University expressed gratitude for her ongoing support and addressed the inaccuracies in some media reports.
