UNIBEN Set to Resume Lectures on Monday
The university of Benin, Benin city, is set to commence academic activities on Monday, August 12, 2024.

As stated in the circular signed by her registrar, A.A. Bobola, the University of Benin (UNIBEN) is prepared to resume lectures on Monday, August 12, 2024, after the closure of the university.
This circular was released on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Prior to the closure of the university on Thursday, July 4, 2024, the students had gone on series of protests and agitations against the lawful directives of the university authorities.
According to the released circular, the students are expected to swear an Affidavit of Undertaking within two weeks of resumption, to be of good conduct while in the university.

The university management in the circular also stated that the result of any student who fails to complete the process beyond the end of 2023/2024 academic session would not be released.
