UNICROSS graduate awarded erasmus mundus joint masters scholarship

Mr. Oghenefegor Favour Ugbine, a brilliant mechanical engineering graduate from UNICROSS, has been awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarship to pursue a Joint Master's degree in Manufacturing 4.0 by the Intelligent and Sustainable Technologies, META 4.0 Programme, Myschoolnews report.

This scholarship allows him to study in five European countries, including France, Italy, Germany, Norway, and Slovenia, where he will earn three M.Sc degrees.

Out of thousands of applicants, Mr. Oghenefegor Ugbine was selected as one of the top 25 scholars to undertake this highly esteemed Masters program. Currently, he is enrolled in his first M.Sc studies at Enise, France's top engineering school, where he will obtain a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The primary aim of the META 4.0 Programme is to train a new generation of engineers equipped with exceptional multidisciplinary skills and knowledge to address the future challenges of Manufacturing 4.0 in Digital, Clean, Sustainable, and Smart Manufacturing.

This program has been developed in close collaboration with various industry partners to meet the needs of society and the job market. The transition to greener practices is expected to create over 1 million jobs by 2030, while there are already 1 million digital technology expert positions available in Europe. Currently, 70% of companies are unable to find individuals with the necessary skills.

Mr. Oghenefegor Ugbine, who recently completed his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in the Energy Sector, credits his company for providing excellent training and expresses gratitude to UNICROSS for shaping his new chapter of life.
