UNILAG Announces Hostel Accommodation Exercise for 300 Level Students
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of its hostel accommodation exercise for 300-level students for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the commencement of the hostel accommodation exercise for 300-level students for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session. According to a statement released by the UNILAG Communication Unit, the application process will begin on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and close on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The balloting exercise for the allocation of bed spaces will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for hostel accommodation, 300-level students must have completed their course registration for the 2024/2025 first semester, be within the regular duration of their respective programs, and have paid all approved fees, including the LAGMOBILE Fee.
Application and Allocation Process
Eligible students must apply for hostel accommodation through their student portals within the stipulated timeframe. Bed spaces will be allocated via a random balloting system after the application window closes.
Free Accommodation for Practical and Examination Period
For the purpose of practicals and examinations, the allocation of bed spaces will be free of charge. In cases where students are unable to secure a bed space through the balloting process, they will be permitted to stay with friends in any hostel with the cooperation of the Hostel Management Team. Any issues encountered should be reported to the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs.

Exempted Hostels
Students residing in El-Kannemi Hall 2, Gbajabiamila Hostel, Women Society Hostel, and other similar hostels around campus are not eligible to participate in the balloting exercise. The Student Affairs Division has a record of students living in these hostels, and any student found violating this directive will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board for social misconduct.
The university has urged all interested and eligible 300-level students to adhere strictly to these guidelines, complete their course registration, and apply within the given period. Students in other levels are advised not to apply at this time.
