The University of Lagos (UNILAG) made history at the Federation of African University Sports (FASU) Games by clinching the gold medal in the women's 4x100m relay. The talented quartet from UNILAG dominated the race, finishing with an impressive time of 48.76 seconds. Their performance left a significant gap between them and the competition, securing their position at the top of the podium.

In a remarkable display of athleticism, Lagos State University (LASU) secured the silver medal with a time of 55.97 seconds, while the Lagos State University of Technology (LASUTECH) took home the bronze, finishing in 60.97 seconds. This victory not only highlights UNILAG's strength in athletics but also showcases an all-Nigerian podium for the women's event.

On the men's side, the University of Ghana emerged victorious, narrowly edging out the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in a thrilling race. The University of Ghana clocked a time of 40.61 seconds, while KNUST finished just behind in 40.70 seconds. The University for Development Studies (UDS) rounded out the podium with a time of 41.78 seconds, placing third. UNILAG finished in fourth place, posting a time of 41.90 seconds.
