The need to optimise electricity as a means of unlocking Nigeria’s industrial growth took centre stage at the maiden Distinguished Alumni Lecture organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, UNILAG.

The lecture was delivered on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC, Engineer Jennifer Adighije.
