UNILAG Hosts Fulbright Specialist Dr. Mathew Swerdloff for Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation Workshops

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is hosting Dr. Mathew Swerdloff, a Fulbright Specialist from the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz, USA, for a one-month academic engagement aimed at enhancing teaching excellence and pedagogical innovation.

From Monday, 27th October to Thursday, 6th November 2025, Dr. Swerdloff will lead a series of interactive workshops for selected academic staff across all faculties. The sessions will cover four key areas: pedagogical strategies for effective teaching, fostering student engagement, curriculum development strategies, and integration of instructional technology using digital tools to enhance collaboration and learning outcomes.

The initiative underscores UNILAG’s commitment to global partnerships, capacity building, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The University warmly welcomes Dr. Swerdloff and anticipates a productive collaboration with its academic community.
