"Thank you for contacting me," the lecturer stated in response to the students' allegations. "I have escalated your concerns to the school, and thanks for listing the names as alleged. I will follow up with the school on your concerns. Sexual harassment should not be tolerated anywhere and definitely not at CMUL. UNILAG should activate its zero tolerance policy, and I promise to take it up and provide feedback on developments. I am ready to meet; I will send you my phone number. Thank you."

The statement from the lecturer comes amidst heightened attention and outcry following the students' disclosures, which have highlighted a culture of fear and exploitation within the university community. The anonymous student who initially raised the allegations expressed gratitude for the lecturer's prompt response, stating, "Thank you so much, ma. I genuinely appreciate your involvement and your response. I will make myself available whenever you need, ma."
