A Student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), recently shocked Tiktok viewers with her creative cooking video, showing budget-friendly culinary skills. The young lady, whose name was not disclosed, demonstrated how to prepare a delicious meal of Basmati rice with fish for less than 1000 naira.

In the clip, the UNILAG student explained her approach to cost-effective cooking. She emphasized the importance of planning and making the most of available resources, where she made use of smoked fish which she fried in palm oil, used the same fish-flavoured oil to make the dish, in addition to fresh pepper, crayfish, maggi, onion, maggi, and salt.
