During this visit, he also pledged his assistance to support their goal of upgrading the nursing school to a university. Mr. Obi highlighted the significance of nursing services and healthcare, praising the dedication of nurses in patient care.

Nigerian Politician,Mr. Peter Obi, has generously donated N10 million to the Holy Rosary School of Nursing, Pharmacy, and Laboratory Sciences in Emekuku, Owerri. During this visit, he also pledged his assistance to support their goal of upgrading the nursing school to a university.

Obi disclosed that he was inspired to support the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri's initiative to upgrade the institution to a University of Health Sciences after discussions with Archbishop Lucius Ugoji during a recent visit to Owerri. "I became very much interested in it as it concerned health, and that is why I gave the Archbishop my firm promise that I will visit the institution to see things for myself," Obi stated.

Following his meeting with the Archbishop in Owerri, Mr. Obi expressed his keen interest in the initiative. He also expressed disappointment in the current lack of government support for educational development in the country, emphasizing the crucial role that schools and students play in national advancement.

Mr. Obi highlighted the significance of nursing services and healthcare, praising the dedication of nurses in patient care. He acknowledged the pivotal role nurses play in hospitals, stating, "The doctors can do whatever thing, but the owners of the patients are the nurses."

Commending Archbishop Ugoji and the school's management for their efforts, Mr. Obi promised to actively support their endeavors to achieve their objective. He emphasized the importance of investing in students for a brighter future, stressing that education is a key driver of national progress.
